Regional Press Awards

The Regional Press Awards represent the pinnacle of the UK's thriving and influential local journalism – a sector whose importance has only been emphasised since the coronavirus pandemic.

Entries are invited from the entire spectrum of regional news brands, including newspapers and digital publications, individual journalists, teams and titles – all in the name of celebrating content that brings communities together and joining a roll call of winners that includes some of the best-known names in regional journalism.

The Awards offer an opportunity to gain recognition for excellence across 19 categories - including new categories that honour young journalists and digital-first initiatives.

The Judging Process

The Press Awards will be judged by an expert panel representing the full breadth of the UK new media industry. The judges are selected based on their expertise, experience and integrity and will contribute to a rigorous and objective judging process.
