Dale Haslam is a reporter with DC Thomson's Impact investigation team that provides content for both The Press and Journal and The Courier websites.

The first entry is for a piece called Gangster Granny which was a deep dive multi-media investigation into a grandmother who was a top drug dealer in Dundee. The investigation took several weeks to complete, and involved interviews with those people who brought down her empire as well as an interview with her husband who spent time on the run with the woman abroad. It was published behind a hard paywall, and has seen scores of people subscribe to read since its launch. The piece also had a huge interaction time of more than 8 minutes. The second piece of content relates to am indepth investigation into the drama that surrounded Donald Trump being given the go-ahead for his controversial golf course near Aberdeen 15 years ago. Dale spent hours interviewing key players who were involved in the entire planning process including local councillors who were subjected to threats, Donald Trump's right hand man on the project and also former First Minister Alex Salmond. The third part of Dale's entry features a series of interviews looking at cyber fraud. Dale found a number of people who were subjected to a variety of online frauds including one young man who was the subject of a sextortion blackmailing. For these interviews he needed to turn his full interviews into scripts which were then narrated by colleagues to bring the stories to life on video.
