Jayme Bryla

Assistant Night Editor and Deputy Leader Writer , The Sun

Jayme Bryla has been a Sun backbencher for over a decade, writing headlines to dazzle and delight the paper's millions of readers (and even making the headlines himself on one occasion after a blood-curdling encounter with a barracuda...). Before that, he spent a decade on Features and News at the Daily Mail, having been chosen for the paper's first trainee sub-editing scheme. A Mancunian Spurs fan, Jayme has also written more than 100 leader columns for The Sun, as well as dabbling in film and travel reviews. He made an ill-fated venture into music in 2022, releasing 2 novelty Christmas songs with his band The Derelict Debits that inexplicably failed to trouble the charts.
